Design Pension Twenty

This is really an apartment rental, not a hotel, with no breakfast included. There’s a bistro downstairs for snacks, but it only opens at 8:00 a.m. The building is central, and a lot of effort and expensive materials clearly went into its construction and renovation. The courtyard garden is a nice place to sit. Beyond that, it feels like the place was built by someone with money who isn’t relying on running a hotel business. I woke up very thirsty one night and found only beer in the minibar, no water. I’d already had two beers that evening and didn’t want another. I also wondered how I was meant to take my pills in the morning. With a kitchen in the apartment and the bistro closed until 8:00, there should at least be a coffee machine, instant coffee or a couple of tea bags. There was none. My wife, like other guests before her, also complained about there being no large mirror, though that doesn’t seem to concern anyone. Bistro service is hit or miss, with the staff often focused on themselves, and the software they use is just annoying. At 9:30 a.m. I was reminded twice that I had to leave by 11:00 at the latest. Loved our stay. The place was spotless and everything felt new and modern. The room design was stunning. I’d recommend it 10/10!

The room is lovely, clean and comfortable. I’ve stayed here several times and enjoyed it each time. We’ll definitely be back.

We needed somewhere to stay late in the evening because our car had broken down, and they helped us out. Thank you! It was a beautiful apartment, not just a room, with its own kitchenette, right in central Poděbrady. Breakfast isn’t included, but there’s a café downstairs that opens at 8 am. We already know where we’ll stay next time and will gladly recommend it to friends. 🙏🏽
