We were there for 24 hours and couldn't use the toilet or even wash our hands because there was no water. It was a disaster, and we couldn't even pee. The stay was horrible. The place looked like a ghost place, nothing like the pictures. We tried to contact the owner for a refund but got no answer. Not recommended, it felt completely abandoned.

The grounds have been closed for months because the trees are considered unsafe, and the little garden outside is a mess. Inside is interesting, but as with many Czech sights, you can only visit on a guided tour. It could be so much better.

We stayed two nights. The suite was mostly comfortable and nice, and breakfast was okay, but a few mostly minor problems took away from the excitement we felt when we arrived. We may have expected more of a hotel in a castle setting, so the stay fell a little short. It wasn't bad, just not what we had in mind. There's a good restaurant and brewery a short walk away. If you're after a posh hotel experience, this isn't it.

The building is historic and lovely, with original 17th-century furniture. Hotel rooms are on the top floor. It felt very romantic, and the staff were great and helpful. There are lots of opportunities for biking and walking.
