LH Hotel Dvorak Tabor

The breakfast was varied and excellent, and check-out was straightforward. I couldn’t try the spa facilities this time, which was a shame, but the value for money was incredible. The hotel is centrally located in an old brewery just off the market plaza in Tabor. The Front Desk staff were lovely and friendly, and communication by email beforehand was good. Adding paid parking was easy, and a spot had been booked for me when I arrived. My bedroom was large and had all the equipment I needed, including air conditioning. The bed was comfortable, the bathroom well equipped, and the Wi-Fi connection good. I struggled to find anything wrong. Maybe darker curtains would help prevent an early wake-up. Otherwise, all was fine. I’ll be back!

The staff were accommodating, helpful, and always smiling. The treatments were very pleasant, especially thanks to the lady who introduced us to each one. She was also very willing to help. My partner and I both left satisfied after a very pleasant stay. The hotel looks lovely and is very close to the center. There’s a small parking lot on the hotel grounds where we had no trouble parking, and there’s also a paid lot nearby. Our room was spacious and clean, and we were welcomed with sparkling water, wine, and sweets.

We booked a spa package without staying overnight, since the hotel was completely sold out. It included access to the hotel pool, jacuzzi, sauna, and beer bath, with beer to drink afterward while resting on a bed covered in hay. We enjoyed the experience. The spa facilities were generally in good condition, though we saw some missing wall paint and a bit of dirt in a few corners. Nothing worth complaining about. This rating is only for the spa and beer bath.

Parking was another surprise: the hotel advertises parking on premises on booking.com but doesn’t say spaces are quite limited. You can pay extra to guarantee a spot, or use the town parking lot in front of the premises if you’re not lucky. At breakfast, the buffet was okay, though it was in an underground space with few staff. They cleared dishes, but I didn’t see tables being wiped or fresh cutlery set out for arriving guests, so we had to get it ourselves. The room had a huge window and a nice river view, but the thin curtain didn’t keep the sun off the bed in the morning. Room service woke us at 8:30am by coming in to clean, and judging by the noise, we weren’t the only room they woke. We put up a DND card the next night, but the sun still woke us, and I heard them going around waking other rooms again. For the price, I was really surprised by how unprofessional the service was. When we arrived, the receptionist announced our room number loudly enough for the whole lobby to hear.
