The hotel is in a great spot, and the views are lovely. The room itself was small and came with only basic toiletries. At that price, I expected a few extras, like conditioner or body lotion, slippers, a shower cap, shaving or dental kits, cotton swabs, or at least some tissues.

We had a lovely view of the New Year’s Eve fireworks right from the window. Dinner was sumptuous, the staff were friendly, and everything was clean. There were also fun facilities for families and kids to enjoy.

The night receptionist was one of the kindest people we’ve ever met, and the hotel is just a few steps from the city center. Our room was comfortable and recently renovated, with a nice standalone bathtub. The heat was unbearable in our south-facing room, though. It was around 26-28 degrees outside, and the hotel has no air conditioning. For what we paid, that was a major letdown, and I wish I’d noticed before booking. Breakfast was pretty basic, with few vegan choices. The sauna and whirlpool cost extra, even with a better room, which felt like a rip-off at that price.

I went to the wellness area over Christmas and thought it was stunning. There’s a roomy sauna, plus a jacuzzi, massages, and lovely beds where you can relax. Drinks are served there too, which is nice.

A lovely hotel in a beautiful historic town in the Czech Republic, not too big. The service was good and very committed, and the kitchen was nice. If you want to see more than the usual tourist spots, this is a good place to stay.
