The beds were really comfortable, but the room had thin curtains that let the sun in around 5 a.m. The hair dryer barely worked, and the fridge never got fixed even after I reported it twice. That made it hard to keep water cool or store breakfast for the next day. They offered paid breakfast and bottled water instead. The hotel is a bit far from the city center and right by a noisy train station. It was okay, but with those issues it should cost less or include breakfast. Also, no one spoke English. Since tourists rarely speak Czech, I think English at reception is a must.

We only needed somewhere to sleep for the night, and this was clean, well priced, and fairly central. The staff spoke English, and there’s a great Italian cheese shop just a few hundred metres down the road. Trams run through the night, but after a day exploring we were tired enough that they didn’t really bother us. We’d stay here again.

The service was great, and free parking and Wi-Fi were a plus. Our room was very clean, with a surprisingly large bathroom, though it smelled strongly of chlorine. At least it seemed thoroughly cleaned. Breakfast was decent for the price, if nothing special: scrambled eggs, sausages, coffee, orange juice, milk, corn flakes, bread, salami, cheese, and similar things.

This was my first visit in June, and I’m coming back in September. The staff were very helpful, even giving us hot water for drinks at no charge. It also had the best shower I’ve come across in a budget hotel in Prague. We did get woken by trains a few times, but we had the window open all night because it was 39C during the day. I don’t think the noise would be an issue with the windows shut.
