Best Spot Hostel

You’re right by the main sights, just two blocks from Old Town Square and Wenceslas Square, and the price felt fair for that location. Lidl, restaurants, pubs, and cafes are nearby too. The rooms are decent, service was great, and the full kitchen had all the utensils. My ratings: location 10, service 9, kitchen and amenities 9, room and price 8, shower and toilet 7.

I left after one night. The place felt unsafe, the staff weren't helpful, and I wasn't willing to risk bed bugs. Other reviews mention them, and the beds looked filthy. There are better hostels within a five-minute walk for the same price, so I wouldn't recommend staying here if you care about cleanliness, safety, or comfort. The location is the one good thing. Everywhere else I saw was filthy, including the hallways, room, bathroom, and beds. I found hairs on the bed even though staff said it had been cleaned. Half the lights in the room were out, some bathrooms had no lighting at all, and the fan didn't work. They'd also run out of towels to rent, so we couldn't shower. It was a serious sanitation problem.

The club next door played music until 2am, and our room was right beside it. In the dorm, four bunk beds were squeezed into a tiny space. Our bunk was against a window we couldn't open, with a water heater below it that made both beds steaming hot every night. The place felt untidy and unhygienic. The shower room wasn't cleaned daily, there was nowhere to put clothes or a towel while showering, and the toilets were so tiny they barely worked for normal use. Worst hostel I've ever stayed in.

I left almost as soon as I arrived, and I'm still trying to get my money back because the hostel didn't match what I booked. They're not cooperating. It felt sketchy and unsafe for me as a solo female traveler. Please avoid it, there are much better places in Prague for the same price. The photos on booking platforms don't show what the hostel is actually like. It's old and neglected, with cracked paint, dirty walls and floors, smelly rooms and bathrooms, and broken doors and windows.
