The one thing to plan around is reception closing from 7 PM until 7 AM, especially if you arrive late or leave early. Otherwise, we had a great experience. The staff were welcoming and helpful, breakfast had plenty of choice and was excellent, and the location made sightseeing easy. The metro and museum are both just a short walk away.

The manager got in touch, apologized, and said their new bank had caused the problem. They promised to return the 25 EUR, but only if I took down my review. I removed both the rating and review, yet three weeks later the money still hadn’t arrived. Each time I asked for an update, they wanted more information. At the start, I’d been charged 25 EUR above the agreed price. When I questioned it, the receptionist blamed currency exchange and then my bank. The amount seemed far too high for an exchange issue. I’ve traveled abroad many times and paid in foreign currencies without ever having this happen.

The room fridge didn’t work, and there’s no ice machine or even ice in the dining room. Still, the room was comfortable, and breakfast was great, with lots to choose from. The kitchen staff were helpful, and the other staff were friendly and spoke good English.

The room was modern and clean, and the location was close to transit. I’d worried about the air conditioning, but it worked just fine. My only complaint is that the pillows were thin.

A nice stay, with a really good location. Breakfast was okay, and the air ventilation could be better.
