Golden Prague Rooms

You get good value here, with clean, decent-sized rooms and very helpful staff. The street is quiet, while the main old city square is only about a five-minute walk away and public transport is all around. The mattress, though, was average at best.

The staff were friendly, kind, and always ready to help. My room was spotless and looked just like the photos. I had a great stay and would come back.

The rooms smelled strongly of urine, and after the check-in experience we kept our passports with us because we didn’t feel comfortable leaving anything behind. The receptionist, a young woman with brown and blonde hair, was extremely rude. We’d arrived early with reservations for the next few days and only wanted to leave our bags in our family’s room, since they were already staying there, until our own room was ready later that day. Instead, she yelled at us and seemed to melt down over everything, including being unable to read the English on the check-in paperwork. I’ve traveled around Europe for years, and I’ve never had a hotel experience this crazy. I do not recommend this place at all.

The reception team were very helpful and dealt promptly with problems caused by noisy neighbours. The hotel was quiet and only about a 10-minute walk from old town square. Inside, the rooms were beautifully presented and amazingly clean. I can’t fault the hotel.
