Grand Petit Hotel

If you're driving but want to explore Prague without the car, this place works really well. Parking nearby is free and wasn't guaranteed, but we always found a spot, even at Christmas. The staff were polite and helpful, and breakfast was a nice way to start the day. The hotel is close to the highway and airport, about a five-to-seven-minute walk from Luka subway station, where there are shops and supermarkets. It's around 30 minutes to the city center.

We stayed for a week with our little daughter, and the hotel was better than I expected for a three-star place at that price. The beds and pillows were among the most comfortable I've slept on in a hotel. The interior is stylish, with lovely paintings in the room and lobby and lots of cozy touches. During our stay, a striking map and new decor appeared at reception. Everything was absolutely clean. The area is quiet and green, though only five minutes from the metro and 15 minutes from the center. We woke to birds singing in the morning, which I'd forgotten how much I enjoyed. We also needed laundry facilities, and the washer and dryer were useful. Our daughter loved the children's corner, giving us time to enjoy breakfast in peace. There were hot dishes, tasty muesli, different sausages and cheeses, fruit, good juice, plenty of pastries, nice music and lots of flowers. We spent evenings in the courtyard gazebo, with chairs and a table. A grill party could also be arranged, though we hadn't known that beforehand. The women at reception were attentive and helped with everything. We'd read complaints that breakfast wasn't enough, but found that overly demanding. We travel a lot and have plenty to compare it with. It felt so comfortable that we'll definitely return. Definitely recommend this hotel.

The same breakfast was served each morning, and while it was reasonable, there was something to eat. We're not demanding about breakfast, so it was fine for us. Parking is free in front, depending on when you arrive. If there isn't a space there, the street is wide and you'll definitely find a free one, so no need to worry about parking. The small hotel is near the park, making it very quiet. We could relax and listen to birds in the mornings. The metro is about a ten-minute walk away, and you can reach anywhere in Prague within 25 minutes.

We were very pleased with the stay. The rooms were spacious, lovely and very clean, and reception staff were friendly and helped us work out local transport. Breakfast had plenty of options, and everything tasted quite good.
