Hostel Modra

I stayed at Hostel Modra for one night before continuing to my destination the next morning. My flight arrived late, so I just needed somewhere to sleep. The rooms are dated, but adequate for a short stay, and it was good value. I was alone in a room with a sink and shower; the shared toilet was outside. Both the room and toilets were clean. The location worked well for me, close to the airport beside Terminal 3, with a bus stop nearby and a restaurant just around the corner. The internet speed was adequate, and I was satisfied with my stay at Hostel Modra.

A cheap option near Prague Airport or the Czech Aviation Authority, with very large rooms, though you shouldn’t expect luxury. The toilets are small, and shampoo is provided. The property was poorly maintained and the cleaning was very poor. Internet worked okay, and there are lots of vending machines for drinks and snacks.

It’s good value for a one-night stay, with a low price for the location and easy access to the airport. MI welcomed me warmly, and I had no trouble communicating with her at reception in English. The room was organized, with no dust or smell, and the toilets were clean. There was no soap in the bathrooms, though. I also didn’t feel comfortable about the blankets and pillows because I couldn’t smell any laundry products on them. Sorry if that sounds silly, but honestly I didn’t notice a good or bad smell. The sound insulation is poor. Even in my own room, the noise outside was loud enough to wake me up. I’d have no problem booking here again.

It may not be a modern building, but I got a room to myself with a private bathroom and toilet. Check-in is available 24/7 and you can pay by card. The airport is very close, with a bus you can catch a few meters from the hotel. Fantastic value for money, I think.
