Hostel Prague Tyn

The bathroom setup felt awkward. The boys’ shower near the stairs on each floor is basically open, which is okay, but there’s nowhere to put your towel in the cubicles, leading to uncomfortable situations. The free breakfast was disappointing too, just a baguette with butter, cheese and tiny slivers of egg, ham and vegetables. It was a bad meal. The Indian restaurant next door is cheap and delicious, though, and the Mexican place around the corner has amazing food at good value. The hostel is well located, clean and maintained, though still a little quirky. The rooms were great and the wifi worked well. Overall it’s well priced, but lacking in some areas.

The kitchen and free breakfast were good, and the staff were nice. Bathrooms and toilets are small, but clean. It’s a great hostel overall, highly recommended. You can walk from here to almost all the main sights in Prague and to the railway station. It’s right next to Old Town Square. Location: 10/10. Cleanliness: 10/10. Staff: 10/10. Facilities: 9/10. The room smelled bad and had no mirror. There were too few bathrooms for the number of people on the floor, the shower room didn’t lock, and the toilet flush was broken. Breakfast was an absolute joke, though the coffee was okay. Given the relatively high price, this hostel wasn’t worth the experience at all. The only positive was its very central location in the city centre.

I was in an eight-person room that was quite small, with no private bathroom and no AC or fan. Towels and shower gel were complimentary, and there was a free sandwich from 8 to 10 a.m. The kitchen and lounge are downstairs, but felt a little stuffy underground. The staff were helpful and friendly, though I’ve had better overall stays.
