Hotel PULSE8

There’s plenty nearby, including bars, restaurants and a supermarket, and the location made getting around really easy. A tram and metro stop are only two minutes from the door. The hotel has a great vibe, with spacious, well-equipped rooms and very friendly, attentive staff. The food was very nice and there was a good drinks selection. We’ll definitely come back.

The downstairs bar area is so cozy that you actually want to spend time there. There’s a free pool table, foosball, a PS4 and Space Invaders. Breakfast was lovely with plenty to eat, though it can get busy at weekends. Our room was clean and spacious. We didn’t check out the gym, but someone told me it was good. The filter water fountain was very convenient and we used it a lot. We weren’t sure about staying a little out of the center, roughly 7-10 minutes by cab and 120-170kč depending on the time of day, but it was worth it. Even with the Bolt or Uber fares, it still works out cheaper than staying central for the quality you get. There are shops and restaurants within a 5-minute walk. I recommend it!

Getting into the city center was easy, and there’s a Rossman, Starbucks and places to eat around the hotel. The buffet had a typical Western spread, including pancakes, eggs, bacon and more, and was worth adding to the booking for the range on offer. The room was spotless, and the atmosphere felt cozy, relaxing and pleasant. Pulse 8 is an amazing hotel. The front desk staff were all very friendly and attentive, and the service was excellent. I’d definitely stay again.

The rooms were spacious and clean, and breakfast was good. It felt a little cold inside when the outdoor temperature was about -5 degrees. Also, the safe may be too small for you, as A4-sized documents won’t fit.
