Top Wenceslas Square Apartment

The digital entry setup was one of the best bits. Everyone in our group could open both the building door and apartment from a phone link, with 500 uses available, so we didn't need to organize keys or make sure someone was in. That was handy since all 12 of us arrived at different times and came and went late. We were there for a stag do, and the place worked well for that. We had plenty of room in the spacious kitchen, with lots of cups, plates and fridge space, plus room for games. The apartment easily fit all 12 of us. It was on the second floor, with a lift, and the building was surprisingly quiet. First impressions of the area were great, though it was hard to find, and the surrounding buildings looked beautiful. The three bathrooms weren't in great shape: all the shower heads were broken but usable, and one shower leaked. Beds were fairly comfortable. It was very warm inside, though it was around 30°C outside. Opening all the windows helped cool it down a bit, but the Czech traffic was noisy, with constant beeping. It was fairly clean, nicely decorated, low cost, and no frills. I'd come back with a group of mates, but probably not with family. Good for a big stag or hen group.

Short-stay party guests here disturb local residents with late-night noise, smoking, drinking, and throwing things from balconies. Police have reportedly been called several times.

We had to wedge a table against the door because it had been kicked in and only patched up before we arrived. We were worried drunk people might walk in at 4 a.m. The sink was full of water and what looked like bodily fluids from the stag group before us. The pillows were moldy, and the bedding was filthy. Reception didn't answer the phone, and checking in was unbelievably difficult. I've traveled all over the world, and this is one of the worst apartments I've stayed in. If you're a tired traveler wanting to see Prague, avoid it. Maybe a stag or hen group would enjoy it, but even that isn't certain. You deserve better. The best part of the apartment was dobby den. It was clean and felt safe, and the location was great. The lack of air conditioning meant we had to keep the windows open, which made it very noisy. The couch needs replacing, and a coffee table would be useful. Bedroom curtains don't close all the way, so the room never gets properly dark at night.
