Hotel Victor

We had a lovely four-night stay and didn't hear street noise at all. There's a restaurant downstairs that's part of the hotel. The center is close, and getting around is easy: the bus stop is a three-minute walk and Křižíkova metro is about ten minutes away. You can still get around the city at night. Recommended.

The price was the one good part of our stay. Our first room, number 43 in the attic, smelled strongly of damp and mold and seemed poorly cared for, as if it had sat unused. It was very dark, with only small ceiling windows, and the floor was so dirty that I couldn't walk on it barefoot or in socks. The water pressure was extremely weak, sometimes there was no water, and showering was a struggle. We asked to move and got another room on the third floor the next day. It was a normal room, but still not very clean, and the shower had the same water pressure problem. It was a pretty bad experience.

The bathroom was pretty basic, and the shower head needs an upgrade, especially for better water pressure. The room itself was clean and comfortable, though, and the friendly, welcoming staff made the stay pleasant. The woman at the front desk was especially helpful, sweet, and charming. I was there for one night, April 5 to 6, and the location made it easy to explore Prague on foot, with the main sights a short walk away. The warm service and convenient location more than made up for the bathroom. I'd consider staying again on another visit.

Hotel Victor worked wonderfully for our large group. The tram lines were easy to get to, and staff were on hand 24/7 whenever we needed help. We highly recommend it for anyone traveling in a big group.
