Louren Apartments

We spent ten nights at Louren Apartments, from 22 December 2025 through 1 January 2026. They let us check in a little early, and the location is a real plus: the tram runs right by the building, and Old Town Square and Charles Bridge are about a 25-minute walk away. The main issue for us was the lack of support. Everything is self-service, with no in-person check-in or check-out, and messages about basic needs or problems often went unanswered. Stanislava, the manager, came across as difficult to approach and unhelpful. The other staff were helpful, but seemed unable to make decisions without routing everything through him. The apartment also fell short on practical basics. The central heating barely worked in Prague's December cold, with temperatures around minus 2 overnight and during the day. When we raised it, Stanislava told us to use the air-conditioning unit, but wouldn't show us how to set it to heat. Coming from Bangkok, where we use AC daily, we hadn't come to Prague to rely on it for warmth. It left us feeling that keeping costs down mattered more than service. During our ten nights, the apartment was cleaned once, and we got fresh towels once, only after making a special request. We could have managed that, but the response to other issues made the stay much harder. The iron barely worked, the TV seemed decades old, and the shower cubicle was extremely cramped. The facilities manager was defensive and didn't respond to our messages or requests. On two nights after midnight, two drunk English guests were loud, incoherent and abusive, shouting as they struggled with the front door and stairs. We reported it to Stanislava, but he read the messages without replying and ignored our call. His response was simply “Silence.” We found that service disgraceful, especially at what felt like four or five star hotel prices. We wouldn't recommend Louren Apartments. The service from Stanislava was a major part of that, and the stay didn't feel like value for money. We'd suggest looking for a good apartment in this area, Prague 3, or in Prague 8 instead.
