Monastery Garden Prague

The room was comfortable and wonderfully quiet, and we had a nice view of the church. The bathroom was nice too. Staying in a monastery means there are high and low ceilings, curved ceilings, plenty of steps, and lots of little nooks and crannies to explore. There’s also a lovely courtyard garden, though it was too cold to sit outside when we visited. Breakfast had so much choice that I’m sure I put on a few pounds. The two reception ladies, one dark-haired and one blonde, were excellent and helped us book trips. I recommend the dinner cruise and the hop-on hop-off bus. We had a mini bottle of prosecco on arrival for our birthday trip, and when I mentioned a few days later that the cruise fell on my actual birthday, another bottle was waiting in our room. Such a lovely gesture. The hotel is right in the heart of the Old Town, within easy walking distance of major sights including the astronomical clock, Prague Castle, Charles Bridge, and the military museum. We walked everywhere, and there are lots of bars and restaurants nearby. I’d definitely stay here again if I return to Prague, and recommend it to family and friends. The bistro is closed until 15 March 2026, but if it’s anything like the breakfast buffet, it should be a great choice for an evening when you don’t feel like going out.

The hotel staff welcomed us warmly and knew why we had come back. We were given an upgraded room with space to sit and relax, and the bed was very comfortable. There were plenty of choices at the breakfast buffet to set us up before exploring the city. We first stayed here in 2012, before we got married, and got engaged on that trip, so the place means a lot to us. We returned for the Christmas market opening and still have so much of the city left to see. The hotel is a quick walk from the old square, yet far enough away to be quiet at night. We hope to come back again.

We loved the little courtyard, full of nature and decoration. The spa they offer was really relaxing, and we recommend it. The stay was lovely and quiet, in the best location we could imagine, close to where you want to be without the crowds.

We had a drink in the garden and really enjoyed the charming, cozy setting. The service was great. There are just the right number of tables, so it doesn't get crowded. A lovely spot to take a break from busy Prague.
