Motel Grádo

I always stay here overnight when I'm in Prague. It's simple, inexpensive, well located, and has its own down-to-earth charm. There's a pub right next door with good beer and food at fair prices. If you want the full hotel experience, pay hotel prices, but this place suits me just fine. The owner is a warm-hearted, helpful, humble man. Mohammed has helped me out at the last minute several times, and I think very highly of him. So to the people who've posted racist reviews, shame on you. It's not for everyone, but what place is?

Mr. Mohammed was incredibly humble and helped with all our questions. I haven't met someone like him before. The property is very well maintained, and surprisingly good for a motel, with the city about 10 minutes away by metro. The showers were the one problem: there was nowhere to put soap, and you have to keep pressing the control to make the water run.

There was plenty of parking, a barbecue area, and even a restaurant downstairs. The staff were communicative and very helpful, and our rooms were spotless with lots of necessities provided. Highly recommend :DD

After a terrible first hostel, I was desperate to find somewhere I could sleep without bed bugs or a bed draining my blood all night. That place in PRAHA 8 had a foul smell, awful hygiene, bed bugs, and someone even stole my pants. I asked a driver for a suggestion, and he pointed me to Motel Grado. The price was appealing, so I gave it a try without knowing what to expect. A kind staff member welcomed me and got me checked in quickly. At first I couldn't believe a place this nice could cost so little, and kept wondering what the catch was. There wasn't one. The room was clean and roomy, with a queen-size bed and a surprisingly comfortable mattress. The WC and showers stayed clean and were professionally maintained throughout my stay. Honestly, the cleanliness was better than what I was used to as a student, which impressed me and made me a little embarrassed. The location worked well too. Janonice metro station is a four-minute walk away, then it's a 10-minute ride to the center. The staff were professional, thoughtful, and kind, always going out of their way to make things comfortable. I especially liked dealing with Mohamed at reception. The friendly feeling carries through to the pub and restaurant mezi lany, where the beer is cheap too. The whole place has a warm, lively vibe. For 20-25 euros a night, I can't think of anything better. Motel Grado is an underrated gem in a sea of hostels with terrible beds. Please keep going there and help keep it open. 10/10, would definitely recommend!
