Old Prague Hotel

The room was freezing despite it being only around -6°C outside. I complained to reception several times, but was told nothing could be done and that the heating was working normally. It was turned down at night, and I had to sleep in a jacket. When I asked for the air-conditioning remote, they said the owner had taken them all and only gives them out in summer. Paying €100 a night for this level of service is unacceptable. The hotel's location is excellent for exploring Prague, and breakfast was outstanding for both variety and quality, but being that cold is no way to spend a night.

The rooms were clean and warm, the staff were really friendly, and both the service and breakfast were lovely. The location was perfect and the price felt like great value. I was very happy with the place and highly recommend it.

I cancelled my booking after scammers reached me through both WhatsApp and the Booking.com chat and kept asking for my card details. On 6. October 2025, they even replied to me in the Booking.com chat when I tried to warn the hotel there. The hotel had told me in the chat in late September that they'd been hacked again. This followed an earlier incident on 21. July 2025, when scammers used the Booking.com chat to ask me to enter my card details again. I emailed the hotel about that, but got only a generic reply about a week later, sent through the Booking.com chat rather than by email, confirming they had been hacked. I found the hotel's response on data protection and security inadequate.

We had a good stay, and the hotel is very close to everything. The people were friendly, the service was great, and breakfast was delicious. The rooms are nice, though a few things could use some work. I understand it's an old building and they're trying to keep it as close to the original as possible.
