The room itself was fine for the price. The beds were clean and comfortable, and the bathrooms were decent. The reception situation, though, overshadowed all of that. A man at the entrance didn't introduce himself or explain any rules, but as soon as my friend and I came in speaking at an ordinary volume, he told us to be quiet and followed us to our room. We didn't know who he was or whether he worked there, and the way he acted left us feeling intimidated and unsafe. Later, he knocked on our door more than once and shouted at us to stop talking, even though we were inside our room. It was genuinely distressing. If guests need to keep the noise down, there are respectful ways to tell them. This wasn't one.

The only awkward part was the shower, since you have to hold the shower head to rinse. Otherwise, it was a lovely, spacious room in a handy spot near restaurants and a couple of supermarkets. Check-in was straightforward, and doing it online ahead of time should let you pick up the key without a wait.

Victoria at the front desk made us feel very welcome, and we especially want to thank her. The room was comfortable and tidy, the staff attentive, and the location made it easy to explore the city. We had a very pleasant stay.

Victoria at reception deserves a big thank you. The hotel was clean and nicely located. My one suggestion would be to have a security guard or someone at reception overnight.

We stayed at the beginning of January and were pleased with everything, just as described. The hotel was clean, and the staff were attentive. Special thanks to Victoria.
