Prague Centre Plaza

Our room faced the square and was comfortable and quiet. The hotel was very clean and tidy, and the staff were helpful. Breakfast had a good mix of dishes. It's a short walk to the old town, too. We stayed from Monday 3rd to Friday 7th November 2025 and had no problems, so I'd recommend the hotel.

The hotel felt cold and unwelcoming, and the cleanliness and maintenance were below expectations. We were also surprised that air conditioning cost extra. The radiators were locked and gave no heat, with no warning beforehand, so some rooms had air conditioning while others had no heating at all. At check-in, staff asked for so much personal information it felt like an interrogation. They seemed unhelpful and arrogant, and lacked basic communication skills. The rooms we were first given didn't match the online pictures. Doors were damaged and locks broken, and in two rooms the main door wouldn't close properly. We felt unsafe and frightened about staying overnight. At breakfast, staff took plates away before we had finished, which was rude. Housekeeping also entered our room and removed our child's blanket and pillow without explanation while the child was sleeping with us. We found that completely unacceptable and strange. Our stay was uncomfortable and stressful, and we don't recommend this hotel under any circumstances.

The room had a lovely view over the church and other parts of Prague, especially at sunrise, sunset and in snowfall. The location was great and the rooms were nice. Reception staff weren't friendly, particularly the middle-aged bald man, who was rude and inconsiderate.

The rooms were basic but clean, and breakfast was buffet style with very little variety. On our first night, the check-in staff member was rude and dismissive. When we asked about upgrading to a room with air conditioning, he laughed and said no. Tea, coffee and milk weren't replenished each day, and reception had none when we asked. Our sink leaked and the pipes were loose. The shower wasn't fixed to the wall, so the pressure could turn it and soak the bathroom if you switched it on before getting in. Noise carries through the hotel, but when we complained about unruly guests at night, the concierge sorted it quickly. There's also a very busy road outside, so keeping the windows open for quiet isn't possible. It's a 20-30 minute walk at a decent pace to the old town, Astronomical Clock or river. WiFi was free but painfully slow, so we used mobile data. The hotel has a beer spa, though we didn't visit it.
