Prague Letna Apartments

My only trip abroad was 18 years ago, and it was the best holiday ever. I’d book here again. The walk or tram ride back to town was just right. The owners were very nice, and I’d recommend the place to others. Thank you.

It felt like home here, really cosy and clean. Sona was so kind and helpful, and put a smile on our faces. We’d highly recommend this place to travellers. Definitely five stars.

I lived here for five years and never had trouble with the landlord. There are rooms for two or four people, and permanent residents get a registration. Free internet is no longer available, though. The north-facing rooms are quiet, with windows looking onto courtyards full of grass and trees. There are lots of stray cats, but they cause no problems, except briefly in spring. In summer, courtyard-facing rooms stay cool without a fan; in winter, the house is heated by a gas boiler. Fewer Slavs live in the house now, and Moldovans and Romanians have been moving in and throwing parties. The elderly pensioners don’t sleep through it and call the police. The newcomers then quiet down, since construction workers often turn up in the yard on Mondays with wheelbarrows, shovels, pickaxes, and so on.

Sona, the owner, was incredibly friendly. She gave us a fantastic tour guide, suggested extraordinary places, and even let us leave our luggage in the building’s locked storage room. The apartment is worth considering. It’s a modern duplex in an older building with an elevator, in a quiet part of Prague about 15 minutes from the bustle by tram. Two magnificent parks nearby are lovely for an afternoon and sunset views over the Vltava River. There are also trendy eco-friendly shops in the area with great quality at reasonable prices. The apartment has amenities like a hairdryer, iron, fans, coffee, and tea. The big downside is no air conditioning. With the bed upstairs, sleeping in July with only a fan was very difficult.
