Presidential Apartment In The Old Town Square

We stayed for seven nights, and it was definitely worth the price. The room and bathroom were very clean, and housekeeping was great and accommodating. The bed was comfortable, with a separate comforter for each person. The location was good too, right at the edge of the old town, just a short walk from the center.

The apartment was lovely, quiet, and easy to reach from the tourist spots. It was spacious and clean, at a comfortable temperature, and I felt safe there. I really liked the place, but two things couldn't be sorted out. The mattress was very soft in some places, which gave me bad back pain. That may just come down to preference, and if you like a soft mattress, it could suit you. I called the manager, who said the mattresses were the same in all rooms. Also, some kind of internet router or other machine in the room made a noise every five or ten minutes. It woke me several times. I'm a light sleeper and even with earplugs in, I could still hear it sometimes. Check-in was a bit tricky because it uses a machine, and the instructions they sent were incomplete. Luckily, another guest helped me. He said he'd had to call to figure it out too.

The rooms were clean and nice, though the walls are so thin you can hear everything. At night it wasn't too loud, so that part was fine. We nearly gave this four stars, but checking out was awful. We got locked inside the building. Our taxi driver tried the entry code, but the door still wouldn't open. We had to call the hotel and get directions to use the backup key. The checkout QR code didn't work, and there were no instructions about where to leave the key. We left it in the room and only spotted the key drop box later, after we'd been stuck inside. When we checked in, an aggressive man wearing a kippah confronted us. He said he was building security, didn't believe we were staying at the hotel, and demanded to see our booking confirmation. It was pretty ridiculous that he was nowhere around and couldn't be reached when we needed help getting out.

The location was perfect, close to all the attractions. The rooms had air conditioning, a nice view, and clean towels, and reception answered the phone every time. Unfortunately, we'd booked twice before arriving in Prague, and getting in and out was confusing. First, you have to check in at little king hotel, then make your way to the residence. We arrived at night and spent too long working out which building it was. Once there, we were handed too many keys and instructions, without clear guidance on what each key did or how to check out. The receptionists spoke little English and gave us only a basic explanation. Our room was on the third floor, but we had to take the elevator to the fifth and then use the stairs back down to the third. It felt like a maze. On our last night, around midnight, we got locked out of the fifth floor because the lock wasn't working.
