Red and Blue Design Hotel Prague

We got a better room on the second try, and the breakfast included was better too, but the new room still felt stuffy and had outdated decor. We’d booked through voyages prive and asked for a special birthday arrangement: an executive room and a bottle of wine on arrival. Instead, we got no welcome, an unsmiling reception, and a standard room with no wine. When we went back to point out the mistake, the man said he’d check, but only upgraded us after I insisted that this wasn’t an executive room and the wine was missing. The location is great, but I wouldn’t stay there again.

I enjoyed my second stay here. The customer service was really great, and the hotel is very conveniently placed close to the city centre, with reliable transport connections and lots of good places to eat nearby. The room I had this time looked a little outdated in its decor, though it wasn’t a major issue.

The room faced the back of the hotel and was extremely spacious, with lots of natural light and a nice view of the old town in the distance. Housekeeping cleaned it to a high standard every day, and there was a large TV. Staff were very friendly. Breakfast was included and had cheese, meat, bread, fruit, vegetables, yoghurt, and granola. It was good fuel for the day. Around 8:15 a.m. seemed like the best time to go, as it had quietened down a bit and the croissants and bread were being replenished often. The park across the street is hilly, but has good views if you climb high enough. The location is excellent, just a short walk outside the old town. It was perfect for a city break, and I’d stay again.

The staff were friendly and the location was very nice. My only complaint is that there’s no terrace for smoking, so you have to leave the hotel to go outside. There’s no parking either, so you have to navigate the streets.
