Little King Hotel U Malvaze

Three months have passed and we still haven’t received the refund. The only updates have been polite emails saying it’s pending with the financial department. After repeatedly trying to sort it out, the hotel agreed to return half the payment, over €1,000, as a “gesture of goodwill,” even though we had to cancel for circumstances beyond our control. Our group included a minor whose identity document wasn’t finalized yet. We understand the rules, but the hotel had no flexibility or reasonable solution, so we had to cancel our family booking for Christmas. I’d stayed at Little King Hotel Prague a few years earlier and had a wonderful time, which is why we booked confidently again. It’s deeply disappointing to see the service and customer care decline so much. At this point the situation would almost be amusing if it weren’t so unprofessional. I’d advise future guests to think carefully before booking.

The location was perfect, right in the city center and just steps from Charles Bridge, with everything within walking distance. Our triple room was spotless, roomy, and comfortable, and we had a really relaxing stay. Breakfast had a fresh, tasty mix of sweet and savory options, with something for everyone. The staff were extremely kind and friendly. We had an amazing time at Little King Hotel U Malvaze and highly recommend it.

The location is great, but the experience was awful. The rooms were hot with no A/C running, even though the hotel has it and lists it as available. Staff said they wouldn’t turn it on because of the electricity bill, despite it being impossible to sleep or stay in the room during the day. Some rooms have no outside windows or air circulation. Other guests complained too. I was told, “We don't like Americans.” The doors and windows barely block sound, so we could hear people on the stairs and outside, and the elevator was out of service, leaving no handicap access. Even with a do not disturb sign, staff would enter the room without permission. There are nice signs in the room, but they felt like lies, and customer service was terrible. The employees and administration, or owners, were the worst. Changing hotels at the last minute wasn’t easy, and they knew that. Luckily, we reported it to our credit card company and got our money back without paying for the reservation. This was my worst hotel experience in Praga. Find a better hotel than this one, away from the nasty employees and owners.

Breakfast in the hotel restaurant was plentiful and delicious. The rooms were clean and comfortable, and the staff were friendly and attentive. It’s right in the city center, close to King’s Bridge and other tourist sights. I highly recommend it.
