The soundproofing is basically nonexistent, and the staff were unfriendly. It’s a cheap-quality hotel in a not-so-great area, quite far from the tram stop. The room had poor lighting and heating, transparent night curtains, and too many large windows. There was no heating unit in the bathroom, the kitchen and bathroom fittings felt cheap, and the WiFi was so slow it was useless. Check-out was strictly by 10.

I spent a month in Prague with a large group recently. The room was spacious and clean, with utensils for basic cooking, but then the nightmare started. They used the rent we’d paid months in advance to do renovations while we were staying there. Half our group lost access to their balconies, and plastic wrap covered all their windows. There was no ventilation, no fans, no warning, and no concern for us. Everyone in my group feels slighted, and I’m sure I won’t be the only one leaving a bad review. Ignoring a paying customer’s comfort is terrible business. The receptionist was pretty and nice, though, kind of like Pam Beasley.

For what we paid, I’d give this place five stars. Our room was huge, even though we’d booked one of the cheapest solo rooms in Prague. It had a fully working kitchen stocked with dinnerware, a lovely bathroom with an amazing shower, and a great, partly obstructed view of downtown Prague from the third-floor balcony. The multilingual staff gave exceptional service, and communication about how everything worked was clear. The amenities felt worth much more than the price. It’s a bit far from downtown to walk unless you’re in pretty good shape, but Old Town is a short Uber or taxi ride away. I understand some complaints about the lack of HVAC, thin walls and shared vents making things noisy. There was a little noise now and then, but if that doesn’t bother you and you want a hotel on the outskirts, this is a must-stay. We’ll stay here again if we return to Prague.

For the best price in Prague, you get a really good deal, with a balcony or even a bigger terrace. The kitchen equipment is basic, though. If spiders scare you like they do me, steer clear of rooms with “the garden view” and choose a city-view room instead. There’s no AC either, so I wouldn’t stay here in summer. It was really hot inside.

It feels homely and is nicely decorated 🎄, and the budget price makes it well worth recommending 🌟. The kitchen has all the utensils, and there’s a supermarket nearby. Most basic amenities are included, but toiletries like shower gel and shampoo aren’t. Seems like a good choice for either a short or long stay.
