Hotel Planet Prague

We were two adults and two children and all really enjoyed our stay. The area has a nice atmosphere and is easy to get around from. Booking ahead was straightforward, and communication with the hotel felt relaxed. Breakfast was available at Amano, a nearby restaurant about 100 metres away, and it was excellent. We’ll be back.

A cozy, pleasant hotel at a good price and in a handy location. It’s only about a ten-minute walk to the main square, and the room was clean. The concierge was exceptionally hospitable. Just be aware that in summer the east-facing rooms get sunlight very early. The curtains are thick and dark, but still let enough light through that I’d suggest bringing an eye mask.

I booked this “hotel” through Booking, but it didn’t feel like a hotel at all, certainly not a four-star one. They only shared key details after the free-cancellation period had passed. Reception is open for fewer hours than a post office, the elevator is shared with an old building and doesn’t reach the floor with the rooms, and you have to go outside to eat breakfast at a restaurant. In winter, that’s especially inconvenient. The building doesn’t have a proper kitchen or breakfast room. These arrangements might have been fine if they’d been clearly stated on the Booking page, but they weren’t. In the evening, the gate to the old building, which leads into a rather unpleasant hall, is shut, as shown in the picture.

Breakfast was good and served at a partner place about a minute’s walk away. Parking is available outside. The hotel is attractive and well maintained, but it occupies the top floor of a building that I think also contains offices and apartments, so it can be a little hard to find.
