The Green Garland Pension

Our stay was comfortable, with a spacious, tidy room and friendly hosts. The location is convenient for Prague's main attractions. Late one night my father became ill, and the host called an ambulance and paid for a taxi so I could get to the hospital. They took care of everything during a tense moment and made the experience less stressful.

This small B&B is right downtown in Prague's old city, close to popular sights, though a bit far from the central train station. It's tucked into a peaceful little lane off a busy street, so we slept well. The landlady was friendly, kind, and helpful. The place was clean, if a bit old, and it's highly recommended for budget accommodation.

I liked the facilities enough to give them a 5, but the outside noise brings it down to a 3. The room was very clean, the beds were spacious and comfortable, and the bathroom was nice, with a roomy shower for a European hotel. Towels were changed every two days to conserve resources. There's no air conditioning, but a fan kept the room reasonably cool. Wi-Fi was free, fast, and didn't require a captive portal login. A bar downstairs meant we heard the people there with the windows open, which we had to do because there was no air conditioning. We also heard glass recycling being compacted and crushed around 6 a.m. every morning.

My boyfriend booked the whole Prague trip as a surprise, and the hotel was fab. It's basic but clean, with nice traditional features. Breakfast had lots of good choices, and the central location was perfect. I'd book again.
