The Palace Suites and Apartments

We had plenty of room, everything was clean, and the kitchen had all the amenities we needed. Check-in was self-service with clear instructions, and support replied quickly whenever we needed help. The location worked really well for getting around Prague, with a bus stop and grocery stores nearby, easy access to both sides of the city, and Charles Bridge about a 15-minute walk away. I’d definitely recommend it.

The house felt safe, and there are several good restaurants nearby. Getting around by public transport was easy too. The downsides were that there’s nowhere to park a car and the outer door is a bit noisy.

The location was the only good part of this apartment. Linda came up within ten minutes of our arrival and brought a plumber to fix the toilets, something that could have been handled in advance. One toilet got fixed, but the other was still in use, so it wasn’t repaired then. There was no staff available over the weekend to help with the toilet, and nobody answered our calls, so we had to make do with one toilet. At checkout, nobody was there either, and our calls went unanswered. After we got home, an email said they had charged us €30 for the blocked toilet and €8 for soiled towels. The towels had been left there as rugs, so they were bound to get dirty. Michal was no help and seemed only interested in asking us for money.

The rooms are huge, and we had a nice view of the river. But despite the booking saying parking was available, there wasn’t any. We had to find public parking, and the closest option we found cost €2 an hour. There’s no air conditioning, so we had to open the windows in the hot weather. That made it very noisy, even at night.
