Three Crowns Hotel Prague

We’ll be happy to come back. The room was warm and cozy, which helped take our minds off the street noise. The location makes public transport easy to reach, but it’s also possible to get around on foot without being put off by endless walks. The one problem was the broken hair dryer. You might manage without it in summer, but in winter it’s a nuisance.

We stayed in January, and the rooms never got warm enough to be comfortable because the very old windows let in the cold from outside. The rooms were clean, though.

This is about room 111. The price was decent, and it’s a good spot for getting around Prague. It did the job as a place to sleep, and the bed was comfortable enough. It’s summer now, so the room gets hot. There’s a fan that helps a bit, and the windows have no screens, so expect a few mosquitoes and flies to get in. The fan also helps cover the noise from the neighbors. The walls and door are very thin, so you hear a lot, including other commotion in the hotel. The room is a good size, but looked and felt a bit dirty and dusty. If you’re a larger person, using the toilet may be difficult because it’s very close to the wall. My main complaint is the shower, which drains very slowly even if you use little water. Get wet, turn it off to soap up, then turn it back on, and you’ll be standing in ankle-deep water. I mentioned it to the staff when I checked out, and hopefully they’ll get it fixed.

This was the worst stay I’ve had so far. I couldn’t find the entrance for more than half an hour because there were no signs or directions. I only got inside after spotting another guest and following them. The room had no air conditioning despite the website listing it, and there were no blackout curtains as promised, which made sleeping difficult, especially in the heat. When I called reception, the staff member was rude and hung up while I was talking. The worst part was being told to kick another guest out of their room after I reported that mine wasn’t available. That showed a complete lack of responsibility and care.
