Vila Josefina

Our host made planning and the trip easy to coordinate, and was very accommodating. He arranged separate beds when needed, worked with our breakfast requests, and provided a parking space. My family had a lovely time at Pension Josefina. We’ll surely come back the next time we visit Prague. Thank you so much!

We were misled by the Booking service and didn’t book the guesthouse exactly as intended. We got a single room instead of a double and had no parking space. To the owner’s credit, both problems were corrected quickly. The warm welcome and good location make up for a lot. The owners were hospitable, the rooms clean, and the accommodation felt secure. It’s six minutes from the metro and tram. Still, this place doesn’t match what we’re used to after years of driving around Europe and staying in 3-4 star hotels or good apartments with parking. As the creator of the hostel movement in Ukraine and an international expert in tourism and hospitality, I see several significant shortcomings. Breakfast is next to the kitchen, garbage bin, and sink. There’s a strange egg-boiling device, and the small, uncomfortable ground-floor room beside the kitchen has poor sound insulation and takes a long time to warm up. There’s no lobby or reception. In my opinion, the price is a little overpriced. The owners should invest in partial renovations of the rooms and dining area.

The owner was so considerate and went out of his way to help us. After someone damaged our car's bumper, he even arranged for a mechanic to come fix it. We'd happily stay here again.

Our room was spacious, with a queen bed and a smaller extra bed, and the bathroom had clean towels, a tub, and a hair dryer. Everything was spotless, and breakfast was good. The owner was consistently friendly and helpful, and we had free Wi-Fi in the room and free on-site parking. The neighborhood is peaceful, about 3 km on foot from Prague Castle. Borislavka Metro is a 5-10 minute walk away, with four stops to Staromestska in the city center.
