The location was a hassle for us. It's not close to a subway station, and getting up the steep hill with luggage was difficult. Inside, the bathroom glass was broken and wouldn't close, and the showerhead had no proper holder, so you had to hold it yourself. For a hotel charging this much, that was unreasonable. At night I went to the bathroom and saw several cockroaches. I was so frightened that I couldn't sleep for the rest of the night. A place with pests shouldn't be charging premium prices. The price was nearly five times what comparable hotels charge, and much higher than well-known hotel chains despite offering far worse conditions and service. I can't see any justification for it. This was one of the worst places I've stayed, absolutely unacceptable and not worth even one star. It was poorly maintained and didn't meet basic standards for cleanliness or comfort. I regret staying here and wouldn't recommend it.

Mornings get really noisy because part of the hotel seems to be used as some kind of workshop. In the evenings, the noise often comes from drunk guests.

We were promised a large double bed, but got two singles instead. When we asked the staff to fix it, they didn't seem to care, and we had to sleep in the single beds. The woman at reception was unfriendly. I can't recommend this place when you don't get what you booked.

The breakfast lady was wonderful and really tried to make things better. That was the only positive I could find. I booked the “Deluxe” room, but it wasn't soundproof as the website suggested. It was near the front desk, and I could hear the phone box vibrating at the entrance. When I asked to move, they put me in a cheaper room and offered only food and drinks as compensation, even though those were already included in my reservation. For the extra 400€ I paid for deluxe, I got a bag of peanuts and two beers. The new room was noisy and dirty too, and I could make out my neighbors' conversation. I was too tired to ask for another change. The gym was a joke, just a small room with a few old machines nobody would want to use. The hotel is very expensive, and you can probably find somewhere much better. If you can avoid it, do.
