The kids got to train with players from other countries, which made the camp a fun social experience as well as a chance to work on tennis. The coaches were friendly, spoke English well, and kept the children comfortable and motivated. Mornings had structured training, while afternoons were more flexible. Meals were fresh and homemade, with a good variety each day. The camp provided lunch and dinner, and breakfast was very nice. We felt comfortable leaving the kids there while we explored the area. About 25 km from Prague and 10 km from a great water park, it made for a nice mix of focused tennis and relaxed family time.

We often travel between Budapest and Berlin, and over the last few years we’ve started stopping near Prague overnight. After trying a few similar three-star places, Oaza Ricany has turned out to suit us best. We’ve stayed several times and have always been happy. It’s close to the motorway but sits in a quiet green park on the Tennis Academy grounds. There’s free parking and Wi-Fi, a children’s playground, several sports facilities, and the charming town of Ricany is a short walk away. The rooms are clean and comfortable, breakfast is included and generous, and the staff are always friendly and helpful. Great value for the price, and we’d recommend it for short or longer stays.

You’ll find plenty of ways to get some exercise here, from tennis to volleyball. It’s a sports hotel, so the rooms aren’t magazine-worthy, but they have what you need. The staff are helpful, the price is reasonable, there’s free parking, restaurant options nearby, and a direct train to Prague.

There’s a nice range of food and drinks to recharge with after training. You can book from a good selection of experienced trainers, and the courts include eight well-maintained outdoor clay courts as well as heated indoor courts.
