After six days hiking through Czechia, I badly needed a rest for my legs. I stopped to ask about a room and was glad they had one. It was spacious, with a bathtub I soaked in for two hours. The food was good too, especially the shaved roast beef. Room and breakfast came to $85.

Our car trouble turned into an unexpected stop at hotel Sloup. The outside looked a bit like a horror movie, but the owner and crew were warm and helpful, even assisting us with the car repairs. We also really liked the food from the hotel kitchen, it was tasty and looked great. The staff were friendly, and the quiet neighborhood was lovely. We hadn't planned to stay, but would like to return in summer. Thanks to everyone, and keep being yourselves.

The only problems were a broken bathroom sink tap and the lack of an elevator. The stairs were fine for us, though I can see how that might bother some people. Otherwise, everything was okay.

I found the room acceptable, but the waitress's behavior was far from normal. If she worked for me, I'd fire her immediately.
