We were lucky enough to find the cottage covered in snow, which made it feel extra romantic. The stove keeps things pleasantly warm and gives the place the right cottage atmosphere. The approach from the road is a little steep.
I can’t recommend this place at all. During our week-long stay, the boiler broke after three days, leaving the cottage at 16 degrees, and Mr. Fiala couldn’t get it fixed before we left. It holds 120 litres and the heating only runs on night power, which wasn’t enough for four adults and two children. The cottage was dirty and dusty, and Mr. Fiala seemed to think that was normal. When we complained, we were told that if we wanted comfort, we should have gone to a hotel. Never again.
There are lots of lovely places to discover nearby, and the cottage itself is well equipped and a pleasant place to unwind. It’s set in a beautiful location.
The terrace looks out over a mountain range. Inside, it feels like a little open-air museum, with old-fashioned furniture and a sense of times gone by. The downside is there’s no hot water after 8 p.m.
