Penzion Majorka ***

The sauna is well equipped, and dinner at the buffet was excellent. I was here for a business event, and the training room worked well enough for our needs. The rooms are basic but functional, with a thoughtful renovation that keeps the rustic character of the place. It's also well placed in the heart of Haná, near natural sights like Velký Kosíř and not far from the spa, making it suitable for relaxing or work trips.

There’s a garden and parking, and the shared areas have an art exhibition. The building itself is beautiful and full of history. Since it dates back a while, some passages are narrow, so fold in your mirrors.

We drove 250 km after buying a voucher for the apartment, only to spend the whole stay looking at a blue tarp covering the terrace. Wind kept making noise, and there was no privacy at all, with workers passing behind the glass terrace. I understand construction may have been necessary, but nobody warned us. The accommodation really let us down, and we won't be back.

The service was perfect, but the room's mattress was so worn out that I felt I'd need a masseur to put me back together afterward. Coffee was only available at breakfast unless you could make it in one kettle for the whole guesthouse. The sauna seemed to be open only on weekends, and only if there were enough of you. The TV was badly placed too: you have to sit in a chair, since you can barely see it from the bed. All in all, I'm completely dissatisfied.
