Penzion U Veterána

It took two hours before they let me in. The owner had never dealt with a B2B customer and wanted to call the police on me. I stayed there for two days and never saw anyone. The place felt abandoned, and I was the only guest. Basically, it's the guy's garage for his expensive old timers, which you can't see because they're locked behind a door. The whole place smells like a corpse. There's no pool, despite the photos they put on Google. Do not go. You'll regret it.

The U Veterána Confectionery makes a nice, quiet stop for coffee and dessert, whether after a trip or a walk around the spa. The desserts are delicious, the coffee is good, and there's a relaxed feel. In summer, you can sit outside too. A sweet little break.

I asked for two pinwheels, and there were three behind the glass, but they told me to sit down and wait for someone to come over. We stayed outside for about 15 minutes while staff passed by three times without helping. By the time we went inside, only one was left behind the glass, and a family who arrived after us was happily eating the other two. Terrible organization. Never again for me.

Even out of season, this is a nice pastry shop with good desserts to choose from, decent coffee and sandwiches. The staff were friendly and fairly quick, and the outdoor seating was pleasant. I'm unsure whether the prices are high, but there's hardly any competition.
