Hotel Stara Skola

There are plenty of options for team activities here, including bowling, a meeting room, and a sauna, and the food was well cooked with some newly added choices. Our stay was generally fine, but the room could use renovation. The light was too dim, the bathroom lock didn’t work, and the door looked as if it had been repaired after being broken 🤷‍♂️

The hotel looked top notch at first, and there’s a spa and plenty for kids to do. But the children’s toy area is closed on Mondays and Tuesdays, and that isn’t mentioned. They also seem to charge extra for everything, which is a real shame. The hotel lady was very friendly and did her best, but the other male staff didn’t even look at us, so we didn’t feel very welcome. I wouldn’t recommend staying here, especially with children.

The location and breakfast were fine, and the girls working there were helpful when we asked them something. That’s where the good parts ended. The hotel’s hospitality was poor: the men working there didn’t bother to look at us, and they gave no tourist information, or incomplete information, such as failing to mention that little children can’t visit the caves. They say the hotel is child-friendly, and there is a play corner, but it isn’t open every day. We also had to pay extra for the baby bed, which they hadn’t told us about, and for the very expensive sauna. The bill was full of extra costs. This wasn’t what we expected at all, so we’ll advise people not to go to hotel stara skola.

The inside is really nice, but the hotel keeps letting you down and seems to think more of itself than it deserves. The bedding is terrible, the rooms are hot, and the road noise is very loud. Breakfast was genuinely terrible too. Definitely not worth the price.
