Pets being welcome was a real plus for us. The cottage is nicely equipped and in a great spot for year-round activities, from skiing and cycling to hiking. There’s a children’s playground, a pergola with a gas grill, and a beautiful tiled stove. A very nice place for a reasonable price.

The location in Sněžné is quiet despite being beside a road, since there’s very little traffic. It’s a large, classic mountain cottage, with four bedrooms, two toilets, a spacious living room, and a kitchen that even has an automatic coffee maker. The one bathroom is very small, but manageable. There’s a pool below the cottage, reached by stairs, though the area around it could use some work, such as grass and a bit of landscaping. Outside, there’s a covered terrace with a gas grill and a children’s playground. Parking in front works for up to four cars, and dogs can stay too. You’ll need to drive out for trips, as there isn’t much in Sněžné itself. I’d recommend it to friends or families looking for a mountain cottage.

We found plenty of trips nearby, and when the weather turned bad we used the games in the cottage. It was clean and well maintained, and everything we needed was there. The cobwebs bothered me quite a lot, though I suppose that comes with being in nature, and the beds were worn out. With small children, I wouldn’t recommend it: the terrain is tricky, the playground is for ages 8 and up and sits at a junction, and the pool stairs are another concern. We didn’t use the pool because of the weather.

That step in the hallway right before the kitchen caught us out and gave us a hard time 😅. Apart from that, we had a lovely weekend with friends. Everyone had their own privacy, and there were two toilets plus a separate bathroom. I’d definitely recommend it.
