We stopped in at the caffe and had great coffee at a nice price. The setting was beautiful, and the staff were really friendly. We’ll probably stay here too when we’re back.

After the response to my booking comment, I’ll never go back. They claimed they didn’t have to accommodate us because, according to them, we had no PCR tests. We did have them, and I still have the tests saved. Nobody asked about tests when they took the money and emailed the confirmation. At the property we said we had tests and could show them on our phones, but were told that wasn’t necessary. So please stop claiming we didn’t have them. My original stay was already disappointing. The room felt like it had previously been used for storage, with nothing to make it cozy, and it was next to the kitchen, so all the smells came through. It was a last-minute booking and, they said, the last room available. I paid a loooot less than the usual price, but would have been disappointed if I’d paid full high-season rates. There weren’t really any cons, but there weren’t any pros either. Most of the staff, apart from ONE person, couldn’t speak English. It gave me the impression German-speaking guests were the priority.

It’s quiet, just outside the center of Špindlerův Mlyn, and very well located. The place sits above the Labská dam, right by the Hromovka slope.

A cozy place with good hospitality. Getting to the main road can take a while on foot, so coming by vehicle would make things easier.
