Villa Amenity

We were meant to stay at the Barbora hotel, but a lucky turn of events brought us to the villa instead. The place was beautiful and had everything we needed, plus a view of the square. The woman who gave us the keys was very kind. Thanks so much, I’d definitely recommend it.

The garden and seating spot were lovely, and you can tell the owner takes care of the place. Inside, it was clean, modern, roomy, and had plenty of storage. The kitchen was stocked well enough that, for us cooking twice a day on holiday, it felt like a small miracle. It’s definitely one of the better places I’ve stayed while travelling, and I don’t want this to come across as too harsh. Still, I was disappointed to find out at the start that the washing machine and dishwasher weren’t working. I travel with limited clothes and had really counted on doing laundry, so it mattered to me even though those appliances aren’t essential. Others might choose the place because it lists a dishwasher, then only discover on arrival that it’s out of order. I think the listing should leave those items out while they’re unavailable, or the owner should let guests know beforehand, perhaps with the payment or stay details. I was also surprised to hear, “Guests usually buy toilet paper themselves.” I don’t mind buying toiletries, but I normally expect them to be covered by the accommodation price.

We felt right at home here. The owner was kind and helpful, and there was a lovely big garden and a parking spot. The rooms were spacious and clean, with a kitchen, living room, bedroom and bathroom, plus a dishwasher, washing machine and iron. It’s the best accommodation we’ve visited. We recommend it to everyone. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐🌟

The house is right in the city centre, near shops and restaurants, yet it stays quiet. There’s a big garden with seating and a barbecue/smokehouse. I wish it had something for children to play on, like a swing, slide or trampoline. I couldn’t connect to the Wifi network because it wouldn’t get an IP address from the DNS server. The signal seemed very weak across the ground floor.
