The gardens were peaceful and lovely to sit in, with birds and butterflies around. We only stayed one night, so I can’t say from experience, but the area seems well suited to cycling and hiking. Our room, 307, was very spacious and quiet, with good soundproofing and no echo. The bathroom was nicely decorated and had an almost spa-like feel. The chateau itself is beautiful inside and out, a fascinating bit of history that’s been lovingly restored. We enjoyed the tour and would recommend it for the history of the chateau and the surrounding area. We didn’t have time to try the Arcana Castle game, but watching people play made it look like fun, so we’re hoping to come back next year for it.

I couldn’t book a weekend stay, even a couple of months ahead. From outside, the place looks well maintained, with a cozy garden. I visited the exhibitions inside, including the small brewery-tools display in the dungeon, which is free. There’s also a large restaurant, but it was completely empty when I saw it at lunchtime on Sunday.

The reception team were helpful and cheerful, and let us have extra time at checkout when we needed it. Mirka at the breakfast buffet deserves a special thanks too. She made us feel at home. The rooms were large and quiet, the beds were good, and the views were outstanding. This is a magical place and a fine hotel. I’d definitely recommend the beer spa.

We stayed as a family with two kids and loved the place. Our room was clean and nice, and the receptionists were friendly and found creative ways to help with my personal needs. The kitchen service could be better. It may have been a language difference, but the staff seemed impatient. Breakfast was okay. I’d suggest adding more vegetables and offering scrambled eggs without meat for vegetarians.

A nice, romantic place to visit. The hotel is currently rated three stars, though it could be considered at the high end of that scale. Connecting it with the beer spa is a really nice way to tie in the long history of beer brewing.
