We hadn't booked, but walked in and got a great meal with quick, helpful service. I had Svíčková, a traditional Czech dish that's hard to get right, and the chef did a great job. Without ordering dessert, I'd have been finished in under 20 minutes.

I travel for work around Europe and average about 15 hotel nights a month. I've never felt less welcome anywhere. The staff came across as miserable, rude, and unprofessional, in a way I honestly haven't seen before. I'd rather crawl home on my tongue than stay here again. You've been warned, and good luck.

The staff were friendly and polite, and the portions were generous for the price. Zlata Hvezda is a "Czech Specials" restaurant serving authentic Czech food with local ingredients. The menus are available in Czech, German, and English, with plenty to choose from if you eat meat. Vegetarians have only a handful of options. I really liked the fried cheese and potato pancakes.

I live in Litomyšl, so I can't comment on the hotel, only its restaurant. The meals are delicious, and there's a sense of care as soon as you walk in. A lovely spot for a date or a celebration.

The room looked fresh and was fine for my one-night stay. I hadn't booked ahead, but the receptionist was very helpful. Breakfast was okay, and the price seemed about average. I can recommend this hotel.
