Everything felt so thoughtfully put together, and breakfast was lovely. The owners clearly have a great eye for furnishings and how the place is laid out. We had room G15, on the first floor at the front. The road outside gets a little noisy, so I’d choose a courtyard facing room next time, though the air conditioning meant we didn’t need to open the windows. I’d come back 😘

Everything seemed covered. But what about eggs?

The reception staff were helpful, and breakfast was generous for a hotel with so few rooms. The room looked lovely, though the design missed some useful basics: there was no toilet paper holder or towel hook by the sink.

At Hotel&Galerie Kopačka in Svitavy, the functionalist interior makes the luxury of the 1930s feel vivid. We were fascinated by it. Sitting in a chair by Jindřich Halabala or stretching out on a Le Corbusier chaise longue lets you feel the place’s particular magic. You could choose a 5* hotel, or want something more individual. What we found here is probably not something we’ll experience anywhere else. Jaromír&Lenka
