The staff were friendly and helpful, and the rooms were nice and quiet.

Breakfast was really good, and the pub served tasty food at fair prices. The Budvar was very good too. I just wish they stayed open later, since the pub closes at eight, or ten on Fridays and Saturdays. It’s nice to sit and relax on holiday. I spent a long weekend at the guesthouse and would happily return. Being out in nature, away from civilization, was beautiful and peaceful. The rooms were spacious and very well equipped, and the bathroom was too. A couple of small things could be better, like having a coat rack in the room or bathroom, and cleaning the shower drain now and then. I’d give it four and a half stars, but the beautiful setting, quiet, and very friendly staff tip it up to five rather than four.

We stayed just one night while riding toward Germany, and it worked well as a tourist stop. The owner was kind, helpful, and friendly, and checked our arrival time beforehand so they could hand over the keys. We paid cash at check-in. After some discussion, they found a spot for our motorcycle in a gated lot. The regular parking is right outside the guesthouse windows, open and unsheltered. The guesthouse is in Czech Village, right on the main road, among forest, mountains, and a few private homes. It was peaceful at night, but traffic started on the road from dawn. Our second-floor room had only opening roof windows, no air conditioning, and a private bathroom. It had basic tourist amenities, including towels and a refrigerator, but no TV. The sofa was terribly dirty, and the entrance door was very worn and damaged. There were no basic things for making a simple meal, like a plate, cutlery, or a glass, though the owner kindly lent us those so we could prepare breakfast in the room. The bar and restaurant downstairs serve meals but are open only until 8:00 PM. No complaints overall, and we recommend it as a tourist stopover.
