The price and location were both very good, and the receptionist was friendly and thorough with information. At first the room seemed great, with a kettle, a little coffee to make yourself, a small fridge and a television. It smelled fine too. The shower holder was broken, though, which made showering less enjoyable. The pillow was flat, with what felt like old cotton balls inside, and smelled as if several people had used it without it being changed. I wasn’t disappointed because the price and location were so good, but I wouldn’t call it a 3-star hotel as listed online. Given the room, bathroom and breakfast quality, it felt more like a pension.

The rest of the hotel was fine, but the owner's attitude was the worst part of our whole trip, and left me very disappointed. All 10 of us felt the same way about how he treated us. We thought he was quite rude to Asians. I’d messaged and called to ask whether there was a public kitchen we could use. He said no, and I didn’t pursue it. I only explained that it was white asparagus season. When I checked in, I didn’t ask again about the kitchen. Later, I wanted to ask whether we could sit in the lobby or somewhere to chat, but the owner kept saying no before I could finish my question and answered roughly. We weren’t asking to leave right then. My friends had arrived early and wanted to know if they could wait for us in the lobby. We didn’t use the lobby later that day, and only had breakfast the next morning.

The receptionist suggested some amazing places in the city. Our room was nice and clean, and had a small fridge, which was a pleasant surprise since it wasn’t listed in the room description. Breakfast was delicious, and we were given a parking spot. For a three-star hotel, the quality compared with Telč prices is a win.

We booked on the day we arrived, and it all worked out well. The helpful staff and the location right by the city gates were real pluses, with the center just a two-minute walk away. Breakfast could have been a bit better. It’s a small budget hotel, and should be fine for one or two nights if you don’t have high expectations.
