EA Hotel Kraskov

The hotel was clean and well looked after, and it’s a nice spot for the lake or a bike ride. What was disappointing was the restaurant closing early in practice. It’s listed as open until 22:00, but when I arrived at 21:00, I was told the cooks had left 10 minutes earlier. Fair enough, but after a long trip there wasn’t anywhere else nearby to eat. Sad.

The pool, sauna, bowling and other amenities were great, and the hotel looked newly renovated, clean and well maintained. But when we ran into problems, like there being no clean towels or keys for the pool lockers, the staff were pleasant and smiling yet didn’t do anything to sort them out. The pool area had wet towels lying around, and the bowling area was littered with empty bottles and glasses, so we were left dealing with the mess. If they were short-staffed, they could at least have said so. We would’ve understood, but they gave us no explanation or indication that things would improve.

There’s plenty to do here, including bowling, the pool and spa, and the staff were nice and helpful. The hotel is beside a pretty pond too. Our room had a strange beeping sound that kept starting and stopping throughout the visit, and nobody did anything about it, so sleeping was hard. It was also very hot in the hotel, and most of the food wasn’t very good. They say dogs are welcome, but dogs can’t go into the restaurant, which rather defeats the purpose.

A quiet place for a family holiday, with forests and lakes all around. The facilities are very complete, from sports and barbecues to indoor activities like bowling.
