The rooms felt cozy and were very comfortable.

The place was clean, in a decent location, and came with relaxation facilities plus breakfast and dinner. On paper, that sounded fair enough, especially since we booked through an online discount portal. The service, though, was some of the worst I've ever had. The woman was unwelcoming and needlessly rude the whole time, with a disdainful manner, never a smile, and sardonic comments in Czech. Even paying for champagne didn't change that. Mostly, she seemed unwilling to give guests any time. Everything ran on rigid schedules. Dinner and breakfast were supposedly available for an hour, but in practice there was only a 30-minute window. Arrive later and you'd get raised eyebrows and, "Oh there you are..." She did lend us a map for our walk, at least, but we had to hurry back for dinner. Just awful.
The caretaker who greeted us was lovely and clearly trying 110%, but the stay itself was a huge flop. The jacuzzi wasn't working, and the relaxation bath only fit one person at most. It offered little privacy, with a grille in the door through which people playing billiards in the room opposite could see you. The owner made one big mistake with this place. Our room was tiny, the bed uncomfortable, and there was a large spider on the ceiling in the corner. Insects were inside the light fixtures, the bathroom was tiny too, and the whole attic was made of plasterboard, so you could hear everything. The food was poor as well. The promised two-course dinner wasn't what we got, and the food was worse than a school cafeteria. The buffet was barely a buffet, with two kinds of salami, open butter for spreading, and a little vegetable. Don't expect anything else. There was no juice, coffee maker, or lemon water. If it weren't for that nice caretaker, it would have deserved *****.
The guesthouse was fairly clean and acceptable, but the manager's treatment of guests was disastrous. Her condescending, arrogant behavior ruined the stay. She treated us like badly behaved children, despite our adult children being grown at home. We were repeatedly told to wear slippers, not to stand where we were standing, and so on. We were only missing a check that we'd washed our hands before eating. I agree with the negative reviews here. We stayed from 31.7.16 - 3.8.16. I've never before had to strip the bed and take off the sheets at checkout because we had a small dog. The manager inspected the room in front of us to see if everything was clean, which felt humiliating. We knew in advance that dinner came without a choice, and we're not demanding, but serving Krkonoše mushroom without asking was surprising. Mushrooms can be a risk just like fish, and not everyone eats them. There were 14 guests at breakfast, so asking if anyone had a problem would've been easy. When we asked what dinner would be, the answer was always that they didn't know yet. We started buying food to eat in our room, though apparently that's strictly forbidden. There's a trailer by the road advertising breakfast, lunch, and dinner all day, which was quite a joke after that mushroom dinner, when I wanted to order something from the menu. First the manager said I'd have to pay, as if I didn't expect to. Then she said she'd ask the cook if she had time to make something. The cook came out with the menu and said the only thing she could make from it was toast. Another couple had a similar problem at nine in the evening. They were hungry and were only offered pancakes. There's plenty more that could fill a novel. Anyone who stays here should expect disappointment. They'll probably remember what I wrote, go home indignant, and warn everyone else, just as I'm doing. Also, pack your own towels. A young couple arrived without any, and the manager seemed astonished that they expected towels for that price. Most of us had booked through the discount machine. Best regards, Veselá.
My boyfriend and I have never met anyone like the OWNER. We felt like we were there to bother her instead of being welcome guests. I can only say she was nice to her dog. Whatever we asked for became a problem. Don't go to this guesthouse without towels and SLIPPERS!!!! When I said I expected towels at a guesthouse with wellness, she asked what I expected for that money. I could write NOVELS about the stay, there was so much. We booked through the discount machine, and only read the reviews there, not here. That was a huge mistake. We expected a different environment when we arrived, but that was nothing compared with what followed. The food was a DISASTER. At our first dinner, we pointed out hairs in the food. The owner pulled a face and said it couldn't be, since the chef wore a headband, instead of apologizing. We never found out what dinner would be the next day. At breakfast, when we asked, we were always told they didn't know yet. The meals on the following days were much the same, so we bought our own food for the room or we'd have been in trouble. The lady was really disorganized. I don't understand, after reading the other reviews, why she hasn't done something about her behavior. She'll put off future guests, and those who've stayed won't come back, like us. My friend and I really DO NOT RECOMMEND this guesthouse.
