Pivovar Kocour

The atmosphere is lovely, and the beer and food are good. But the staff seemed completely unprepared to serve customers. We had to get up and ask for every beer and every dish, and all the waitresses were extremely rude and in a terrible mood. When we tried to order dessert at 9 pm, we were told the kitchen was closed. Such a shame for a place this good.

The food arrived right away and was fresh. The goulash came with a big chili on top, and the serving was generous. The beer was incredibly fresh and good, and it cost less than two euros. In Germany, you’d pay an arm and a leg for somewhere like this. It’s a hidden gem with a remarkable setting: fields and a farm outside, old vehicles on display, a huge chimney, and lovely decorations all along the building. I’d give it 10 stars.

Visiting is always a joy. The building is impressive, and I love the range of beers available. The food is affordable and very good quality, and the staff are much more attentive now. Service has improved a lot over the past few years. Great location, too.

There’s a nice outdoor area with animals, including dogs, cats, rabbits, chickens, sheep and turkeys. The prices are very good, with svíčková around 160 Kč. The beer is delicious, and there’s a good range of dishes to choose from. I definitely recommend eating here if you want really good food.
