Wellness hotel Diana

The family room worked for our four adults, two on the double bed and two on sofa beds. One sofa bed was nearly falling apart, but the cleaners and handymen eventually replaced both with brand new ones, which were great. It took over a day. The restaurant layout is also awkward: to reach some seats, other people have to stand, and passing plates, glasses, and cups between seated guests and staff is a hassle. They really need to rearrange the tables and chairs. The hotel is old, but still reasonably cozy, well placed, and has good-enough amenities. It could use more management presence, with staff smiling and interacting better with guests. We ate breakfast and dinner there over three days, and the same playlist played every time. A jukebox or something would help. When we asked about the wines, the service could only read out the names. They don’t need a top sommelier, but someone who has tasted them and can describe them would be useful. The sauna takes two hours to warm up and is heated only when booked. It would be much better if they heated and opened it every day from 5 to 8 pm instead of by reservation, since this way they likely never open it. We also didn’t feel like guests when the cleaning lady took all our bathrobes and didn’t return them. We asked reception for replacements, and the look she gave us chilled us. We did eventually get new ones.

The meals and restaurant service were great, and the room was clean and cozy. The wellness facilities are tiny, and I was surprised that you have to take towels for the wellness area from your room. In our double room for two, there was only one bathrobe, so the service could be better.

The air conditioning in the room worked properly.
