Penzion U hájovny

We had everything we needed and felt very well cared for throughout our stay. The place is lovely, and the owners were especially thoughtful, even arranging bike rental. Thanks to them for looking after us so well. We’d happily come back one day.

The garden was a highlight, with plenty of room, a fireplace, and somewhere to sit in the evening. The kids also enjoyed the playground and sandbox. There are lots of places nearby to swim or head out for a trip, so there’s something for everyone. Inside, the rooms were comfortable and clean, with enough storage, and the bathroom was perfectly adequate. The shared kitchen is well equipped, and for a small charge you can use the professional coffee machine or have a local beer. The owners were lovely and always ready to help or offer advice. It’s a beautiful, peaceful spot, and we were happy with everything. We’ll definitely return.

There’s a bike rental, a playground, and parking in the enclosed yard, which are all handy. The guesthouse and nearby area are flat, so even someone who isn’t very fit can manage a ride to Třeboň or around the ponds. There’s great swimming nearby in the sandpits, where the water is warm, and Borda beach is another option. The owners are kind and helpful, and the ground floor has a big shared room with a kitchen and even an oven. Set by the forest, it was just the kind of quiet, sunny place surrounded by nature where I could really relax. I didn’t want to leave.

Vlkovské pískovny and its sandy beach for kids are just a short walk away. Back at the guesthouse, we enjoyed a peaceful breakfast in the yard and a beer outside in the evening. We were extremely happy with our stay as a family: everything was spotless, and both the room and kitchen were very well equipped. The owners were always helpful and ready with advice. We definitely recommend it, they take great care of the place! 👍🏻👌
